RAGNAROK means the end of the cosmos in Norse mythology. It is the end of Creation, the ‘Twilight of the Gods’. The Ragnarok Ensemble came together originally to perform Olivier Messiaen’s great masterpiece, The Quartet for the End of Time, as well as performing a wide variety of works for the various combinations of their instruments.
The four players of the Ragnarok Ensemble, all of whom are acclaimed musicians as soloists, have worked with a diverse selection of artists and ensembles, and as concerto soloists with various orchestras, both in the UK and internationally.

The Ragnarok Ensemble will present the Opening Concert in the winter season 2007 -2008, and it will follow the Candlelight Buffet for members and their guests at 6.45 for 7.00 p.m. Tickets for the Buffet, including wine, are £10.00. Please book buffet tickets by 22nd September.
The subscription for all seven concerts in the 2007-2008 season is £38, and a Brochure for the season is available on request. Concert tickets, at the door, are £8.00.
